Designers say that they usually give permission to open an average width of up to 1 meter, in rare cases, they are 1.2 meters wide. This opening will be the new entrance to the kitchen, and a section of the corridor from the side of the old passage will be rescheduled in the continuation of the bathroom or converted into a dressing room.


Re-planning of the gasified kitchen - nuances

If there is a partition between the kitchen and the living room in the process of redevelopment, then theoretically it can be dismantled. But, in practice, it is not so easy to do. This partition is usually installed in apartments with gas-fitted kitchens.

By law, it is prohibited to combine a gasified room with a residential one.


In this case, there are two options:

1. Install a sliding, removable decorative partition, which will act as a door.

2. Discard the gas hob and switch to electric. To do this, you must go to the gas office, issue a waiver, and experts will come and disconnect the apartment from the gas supply (it is worth noting that this procedure is not cheap and is not always justified).


So an easily accomplished task when connecting a kitchen to a room will be only if the apartment has an electric stove, and between the rooms is a light partition, and not a main wall.


Studio apartment

According to the designers, in small apartments to carry out the procedure of unification is a controversial concept. Since every year there are new design and interior trends, and you will end up with a cramped apartment with not comfortable intersection of functional zones.
